Within Banque PSA Finance (BPF) and its Shared Service Center SSC responsible of the accounting quality and operational efficiency for the European subsidiaries of BPF / Santander Consumer Finance:

-Guarantee the application of the accounting standards according to IFRS norms, respecting the group standards in place as well as supervisory organisations and auditors requirements

-Follow up and act upon queries received from internal and external auditors in relation to the shareholders accounting policies.

-Ensure that the group policy updates are duly applied by the subsidiaries and the SSC.

-Centralise, update and create all the accounting procedures. First entrance point for questions related to procedures.

-Liaise with the team members for accounting schemes updates or creation requests.

-Validate the IT accounting schemes specifications of all new accounting projects.

-Safeguard and ensure the control of the accounting certificate for internal control purposes.

-Harmonisation of financial reporting and follow up on audit recommendations of our partners.

-Regulation of banking activities. Group standards of BPF, PSA and Santander

Activities to reach the results

-Operational assistance during the monthly fast close.

-Manage the update of the Santander consolidation mapping accounts in the SSC accounting systems (Mapping updates).

-Control the accounting reconciliations performed by the SSC.

-Follow up on audit findings and update of the monitoring dashboard.

-Analyse and review the accounting schemes in place

-Provide with assistance for accounts creation

-Set up and follow up of action plans improving the accounting quality

Qualifications and competences

-10+ years experience in auditing and accounting in banking sector

-Certified Accountant or Master Degree in Auditing and Accounting

-Fluent in English. French is an advantage

-Strong knowledge of audit approaches, financial accounting concepts and IFRS (IFRS 9 a plus)

-Excellent command of Excel and in manipulating data sets

-Strong methodological analysis, great communicator with an inquisitive mind and a solution-oriented work ethic

-Heavy emphasis on interpersonal skills and being a team-player

-Ability to work dynamically with a variety of internal business partners

-Knowledge of SAP is helpful.
