Our client is a company within the automotive business with products including wiring harness systems, plug connection and electronic systems.

CANDIDATE

This professional will have the following responsibilities:

- Component Management

- Part Standardization

• Identify alternative parts within and across regions;


• Determine opportunities to rationalize the connection systems catalogue;

- Value Engineering

• Review technical requirements from manufacturing vs off-the-shelf parts and solutions in the market;


• Value Management support on technical discussion with suppliers;

- RfQ Support

• Assistance in collecting requirements;


• Contact point for technical questions and quotation validation;


• Active support of supplier change;

- Supplier negotiation

• Technical support to challenge suppliers’ statements on costs driven by product specification;

- Other Technical Support

• Assist purchasing in data analysis;


• Provide buyers technical training at product level.

PROFILE

• Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering;


• Market experience in the automotive industry, preferable in the area of Connection Systems – Connectors and Terminals;


• Experienced in technical and commercial discussions;


• English language skill to a business proficiency level;


• Practice with Microsoft Office advanced functions and SAP knowledge; 


• Availability to travel.
